1.3 million Australians negatively gear investment properties

Labor has dismissed federal government analysis showing the highest concentrations of negatively geared properties are in opposition-held electorates, accusing Treasurer Josh Frydenberg of lying about its policy. Tax Office data showed about 1.3 million Australians negatively gear investment properties, including about 640,000 who live in Coalition-held electorates and 570,000 in Labor-held seats.
